Facial Fillers in Dallas, TX

Have you lost volume in your face over the years? Perhaps you’ve lost a lot of weight recently and with it, you lost the youthful fullness in your face. If so, then you may be a good candidate to undergo facial filler treatments.

What are Facial Fillers?

Also known as dermal fillers or soft tissue fillers, facial fillers can temporarily plump up the lips, enhance the curves and contours of your face, and soften facial creases and wrinkles. There are many different types of facial fillers and they differ in their composition as well as their intended purpose. Below are listed some of the facial fillers Dr. Khan likes to use in her practice:

Facial Fillers Experience
with Dr. Farah Khan

*Restylane®

Made of hyaluronic acid, Restylane® is ideal for smoothing facial lines, wrinkles, and folds. Smile lines, marionette lines, lipstick lines, and laugh lines can all be targeted for correction. Results may last from 6-12 months and touch-up treatments can help maximize the effects.

*Restylane® Lyft

Made of larger hyaluronic acid particles, Restylane Lyft®  can help correct age-related volume loss in the mid-face and help enhance your cheeks. It also helps create contour and lift and results can last upwards of a year.

*Restylane® Silk

Composed of smaller, smoother hyaluronic acid particles than those used in other Restylane® products, this is the first dermal filler approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for lip enhancement and the treatment of wrinkles and lines around the mouth. Results easily last 6-12 months, with touch-ups allowing you to maintain your results year-round!

*Restylane® Refyne/Defyne

Two of the newest products to receive FDA approval for the treatment of nasolabial folds (NLF) or laugh lines. Restylane® Refyne was approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and Restylane® Defyne for the treatment of moderate to severe, deep facial wrinkles and folds. These scientifically-advanced gels offer a greater range of flexibility and support, making them ideal for natural looking results.

How is the procedure performed?

Dr. Khan will first determine which facial filler is best for you based upon your problem areas and desires. If needed, topical anesthetic may be administered. The injection sites will be cleaned and the filler will be injected into the treatment areas using a very fine needle.  The area of injection is usually massaged to allow the filler to evenly disperse.

What to expect after undergoing facial filler treatment?

To help reduce post-treatment swelling, you will be told to apply ice to the treated area. You may still experience some bruising and swelling in the treated areas but this should rapidly improve and you will see the final results soon after! Of course, if you really want to improve the quality of your skin so it looks younger and healthier, combine these treatments with our key skin care products and/or chemical peels…you won’t be disappointed!
