What is it?
Combining NanoFractionalTM Radio Frequency with SmartScanTM technology to customize a treatment plan for you, the Venus Viva™ safely delivers reparative heat to deeper layers of your skin without causing harm to any of the surrounding tissue. This process activates the body’s ability to naturally rebuild and regenerate collagen. As a result, imperfections like wrinkles and acne scars are smoothened out while discoloration is corrected for a more even skin tone. Even unsightly stretch marks can be diminished while enlarged pores are minimized. And the best part…treatments are safe for all skin types and tones!
How is the procedure performed?
Dr. Khan will determine which areas of your face, neck or body may benefit from Venus Viva™ treatments. A numbing cream will be applied to the areas marked for treatment. Once the numbing cream has had time to take effect, the handheld Venus Viva™ pulsed applicator will be passed over the treatment area in smooth and consistent movements for approximately 30 minutes. For maximal correction, Dr. Khan recommends 3 treatments, spaced 4-6 week(s) apart. Patient(s) requiring a greater degree of correction may require more than 3 treatments for optimal results!
What to expect after undergoing treatment with Venus Viva™?
You will experience redness after the treatment but this should resolve within a couple of days. You will need to keep your skin hydrated with the appropriate skin care but you can resume wearing makeup 24 hours after the treatment. In fact, most patients report continuing on with their daily, scheduled activities immediately after treatment. While you will notice skin improvement after just one treatment session, remember that at least 3 sessions are typically needed for maximal improvement.
